When I visited the meat market, I was struck by the PVC curtains hanging there. While their purpose is to keep out insects and warm air, I saw them as a boundary—between humans and meat, or between the living and the dead. To express the idea of being ‘alive’, I recorded a video of my belly rising and falling as I breathe. This video is projected onto the wall behind the curtain, so viewers experience it from the perspective of the ‘flesh’.
